Contents cover - optional

As with your buildings insurance, for an additional premium you can extend the cover on the contents of your home to include full accidental damage, personal possessions and/or pedal cycles while in and away from the home.

Another option that can be added to your contents insurance, by paying a little extra, is extended cover for your personal possessions inside and outside of your home.

Personal possessions* (protecting your unspecified valuables and personal effects against loss or damage while in and away from your home) - In total £5,000 in this country and abroad and a total of £2,000 within a vehicle. Cover for any one item is £2,500. For cover above this single article limit (for up to 60 days worldwide each year) see 'Special items' cover.

Pedal cycles* - extending the cover for pedal cycles to include loss or damage while in and away from home - £300 each cycle. For cover above this limit see 'Special items' cover.

* Cover applies anywhere in the British Isles and up to 60 days worldwide each year.
