
Chelsea appoints new Finance Director
Andrew Parsons replaces Peter Walsh.

Earlier in the year it was announced that Peter Walsh, finance director at Chelsea Building Society would be retiring at the end of 2008 after 29 years’ service.
After a rigorous recruitment programme, Chelsea, the UK’s fifth largest building society is delighted to announce that Andrew Parsons has replaced Peter in the role.
Andrew who was previously finance director at Standard Life Bank has taken up his new position at Chelsea’s Head Office in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Richard Hornbrook, director and chief executive at Chelsea said, ‘We are delighted that Andrew has joined the board and the executive team at Chelsea. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and has a proven record of strong financial management. Finding a replacement for Peter Walsh was always going to be a difficult task but I am confident that Andrew is the right man for the job and he will be a valuable addition to our existing management team.’
Commenting on his new position Andrew Parsons said, ‘It is a great honour to have joined Chelsea Building Society as their new finance director. In an ever changing marketplace, I am looking forward to working with Richard and his team and to build on their business model and culture which is clearly working so well for them. Andrew, 47, has relocated from Edinburgh to Gloucestershire.
