Chelsea staff rise to the challenge for Children in Need

11 November 2008

Staff at Chelsea are gearing up for this year’s appeal.

Chelsea Building Society staff in Cheltenham have got lots up their sleeves to help Pudsey this year with a whole host of activities taking place at the Thirlestaine Road and Charlton Kings offices.

Having set themselves a target of £2,000 staff have got ideas flowing in as to how to get there. Chelsea’s marketing and communications departments are hoping to raise over £1000 by staying awake all night on Friday 14 November and cycling the equivalent of Cheltenham to Chelsea on an exercise bike throughout the night.

During the day there are a number of fundraising activities taking place. An old fashioned sweet shop is being set up,  staff have volunteered themselves to get a soaking in the stocks, and a penalty shoot out competition where the goalie will be dressed as Chelsea’s lion mascot are all happening. With all of this on top of this the usual cake sales and raffles staff are hoping to smash their target!

Staff will also be invited to dress down for the day for a £1 donation to Children in Need.

‘As ever Chelsea’s staff have got really involved in fundraising for a great cause’ said Sally Davies, CR and Community Support Consultant.  ‘Staff are really looking forward to the day’s activities, raising lots of money and having fun along the way.‘
